Meet Brenda Castanon, D.A., our Director of Admissions, at the American Institute of Dental Assisting (AIDA). Brenda's commitment to the dental field began in 1998, following her graduation from Dental Careers Plus in El Paso, TX. Her zeal for dentistry is evident in her continual pursuit of further knowledge, attending classes that bolster her expertise and propel her to excel in her profession.

Brenda's passion doesn't just lie in her own professional development but extends to nurturing the growth of others. Previously serving as the Student Services Administrator, Brenda was the touchstone for student assistance and guidance. Now, as Director of Admissions, she finds immense joy in introducing aspiring dental professionals to their passion, guiding them toward a bright future in dentistry.
With her combined experience and heartfelt dedication, Brenda not only assists but truly inspires every AIDA student she encounters, making her an invaluable part of our community.

Crystal Erickson D.A.
Associate Director of Admissions

Meet Crystal, an alumna of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2010. Her academic focus encompassed psychology, family social science, and public health. Crystal's career has spanned various sectors, including non-profit organizations, the health & fitness industry, and higher education, all aligned with her deep-seated passion for fostering positive change in individuals and their communities.

Crystal's commitment to personal growth and well-being extends beyond her professional roles—helping others is her true calling. She has brought this passion to her work at the American Institute of Dental Assisting (AIDA), first serving as the Student Services Administrator and now stepping into the role of Associate Director of Admissions. As a proud graduate of AIDA's Dental Assistant program herself, Crystal is a living testament to the program's effectiveness.

As a mother of twin identical boys, Crystal intimately understands the challenges of balancing school with home commitments. Her experiences enable her to empathize with AIDA students, providing them with the guidance and support needed to navigate their educational journey successfully.

With a diverse background and a genuine desire to make a difference, Crystal continues to uplift and inspire those around her, making a significant impact at AIDA.
